You can tour on your own, there is a talk by a guide when you first enter the house, to give you some perspective then you’re left to wander around alone. You need to queue outside …

You can tour on your own, there is a talk by a guide when you first enter the house, to give you some perspective then you’re left to wander around alone. You need to queue outside as only a few people are let in at one time, to avoid congestion. The queue isn’t long. Tickets do not need buying in advance, they are purchased at the desk in the gift shop.
