Birmingham Police say one person was shot and killed at the 604 Bar and Lounge on 9th Street N Thursday night. Around 8:50 p.m., BPD says officers were dispatched to a person shot call at the lounge.

The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a shooting at 604 Bar and Lounge on 9th Street North. On arrival at the scene, BPD found a female victim shot. She was transported to UAB Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Two people died in overnight shootings in Birmingham, including a woman who was shot inside a bar and a man shot inside a package store. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Diontranet Tinae Brown,

Police are investigating a homicide in the southwest area of Birmingham. It happened sometime Just before 5 p.m., in the 1700 block of Laurel Avenue SW, according to the Birmingham Police Department. That's near the Powderly and Mason City neighborhoods.
