A recent report has claimed that Gautam Gambhir could lose India’s Test coaching role if the team doesn’t do well on Australia tour.

According to a report by Dainik Jagran, Gambhir’s role as India’s head coach in test cricket can come under threat if India lose the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. While the BCCI is eager to retain him for the white-ball formats, the management might decide to go for a specialist red-ball coach in VVS Laxman.
