A low-pressure system is moving across the country, delivering rain, snow, and ice to much of the southeast. This same system will be making its way along the east coast early this weekend, bringing a chance for accumulating snow to the tri-state.

It's a First Alert Weather Day on Thursday as snow moves into the Denver metro area. The main concern with this system won't be the amount of snowfall but will be with the gusty winds causing areas of blowing snow.

This system will start initially as snowfall Friday afternoon and evening; however, freezing rain and sleet will mix in with the snow Friday night due to warmer air in the upper levels of the atmosphere.

Highs remain in the low 20s for another seasonable day across the Northland, however, by the weekend, we are keeping an eye on another system bringing light snow to the area.
