According to figures released Thursday by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, sportsbooks lost a net $6.5 million on Super Bowl LIX. A record $101.5 million was bet on the Super Bowl with Pennsylvania sportsbooks, a 20.4% increase over the previous high mark set in 2023, when the Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

Nevada sports books won a record $22.1 million on Super Bowl LIX. Pennsylvania sports books did not. Via David Purdum of ESPN.com, Pennsylvania sports books suffered a net loss of $6.5 million on Super Bowl LIX.

Elected officials in Pa. and N.J. from Sen. Fetterman to Gov. Murphy made bets, read "Inner Excellence," and switched sides to support the Eagles.
