Santa Fe police say a man living on the streets chose a local Walmart as his home for the holidays — eating, drinking and unwrapping gifts in the form of unpaid merchandise long after employees went home.

Eagle Nest Lake is temporarily closed due to winter conditions, with the closure remaining in place until the lake's ice thickens enough to support safe activity, and park staff are monitoring the lake's surface for updates.
