Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were called to Alexandra Retail Park in Oldham at about 15:25 BST. The car park has been closed to the public, with people advised to avoid the area.

Horrific scenes erupted at a retail park in Oldham on Sunday (March 30) after a man was stabbed in a violent knife attack.

The commemorative area, created at Alexandra Park, was unveiled by the Mayor of Oldham Dr Zahid Chauhan OBE, a Labour councillor and GP who helped lead the town's response to the pandemic.
