Cirencester considered a total of 1,414 income protection claims last year, 1,354 of which were paid out. This means 95.8 per cent of claims were paid out, amounting to over £10mn.

Income protection (IP) provider, Cirencester Friendly, paid out more than £10 million in benefits to members in 2024, compared to £9.3m the previous year.

The most common reason for income protection claims were musculoskeletal conditions, making up a third, a rise from a quarter, figures show.
