Another cornerback, Chris Johnson from San Diego State, also put together a strong performance on Friday. Johnson ran a 4.40-second 40-yard dash, the third-fastest of the day, as well as impressed with his performance in the other drills like the line and gauntlet.
Ohio State first-team All-Big Ten linebacker Sonny Styles entered the combine as a projected top-10 pick, and with jump-out-of-the-gym explosion illustrated with a 43.5-inch vertical jump, he could be pushing to be a top-five pick in April.
