Even though it's still too early to discuss rain, sleet and ice totals, here's a current outlook of the next system.
The Climate Prediction Center has the entire Miami Valley under an above normal chance of stay below normal through the rest of January and even into February.
Record cold will push into the U.S. this week, bringing brutal and potentially life-threatening conditions for millions across the central and eastern parts of the country.
The cold front arrives Friday with the arctic air moving in some time Saturday. The temperatures tumble from highs in the 70s Friday to highs in the lower-40s, and even upper 30s by Sunday. Morning lows drop into the 20s and 30s. These will be the coldest temperatures we’ve seen so far this season.
On Monday at 2:44 p.m. EST the National Weather Service released a cold weather advisory valid from 10 p.m. EST until Tuesday 11 a.m. EST for Mackinac County.
