Elyria Police were called to an apartment on Monday night for a welfare check. While there, they found Donte Jamar Parker II hiding inside the apartment, police shared in a release on social media.

The man "was taken into custody and subsequently became unresponsive," police said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
