The Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association and local businesses are raising funds for fishermen who lost essential equipment from last week’s fire.

This iconic Portland, Maine diner has been feeding locals for decades with comforting breakfasts, friendly service, and a waterfront setting that keeps the line moving.

A fire tore through the historic Old Port waterfront in Portland, Maine, on Friday night, damaging aging buildings and several boats along Custom House Wharf, authorities said.

The artist couple who own the H.H. Hay Building opened a coffee shop, gallery, and studio space, where six artists work and mingle.

As the investigation into the massive Custom House Wharf fire continues, businesses and residents are offering support to those hardest hit.

A three-alarm fire ripped through the Custom House Wharf in Portland Friday night and left two firefighters injured. The fire was first reported at 5:33 p.m. by a crew on the Casco Bay Ferry called in the fire but did not know exactly what was burning.

In addition to Don, the lineup will feature Jonathan Edwards, Julia Gagnon, Andi Fawcett, After Dark, Joel Thetford and several other musicians. All the money raised (except for credit card fees) will go to the Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association, which will disburse it to people and businesses along the wharf.
