KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The No. 3 Tennessee Lady Volunteers softball team is on fire to start the 2026 season. Tennessee picked up its sixth ranked win over No. 6 Florida State, 9-1. The Lady Volunteers improve to a perfect 10-0 to start the season.
After four days of incredible play at the Shriners Clearwater Invitational, there’s been a major switch-up in Softball America’s Top 25 rankings.
With the win, Tennessee improves to 10–0 on the season, continuing one of the strongest starts in recent program history. The Lady Vols have combined explosive offense with disciplined pitching and defense, making them one of the early teams to watch in college softball.
