A​ powerful storm system will continue to spread a threat of severe thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes, damaging winds and hail in the South and East through Wednesday.H​ere's a look a the latest timing and threats for the severe weather.

AccuWeather forecasters break down the threat of dangerous severe weather as storms tear from the Plains to the Southeast from the night of March 3 into March 5.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Wise County, Denton County, Parker County, Tarrant County and Dallas County until 5:45 a.m.

Severe storms entered North Texas in the early morning hours Tuesday, prompting several weather advisories. The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for all of North Texas until 11 a.m. Tuesday.

A decent streak of pleasant weather is likely to break to start the workweek, as a cold front from the Rocky Mountains will arrive in Texas, along with strong to severe storms with potentially damaging winds.
