Dozens of tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued Wednesday in parts of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Mississippi as storms hit those and other states in the evening. Numerous possible twisters were reported in the South overnight, particularly in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Sara Huckabee Sanders declared a state of emergency Wednesday and posted on X that she has received reports of tornado and storm damage. Videos shared on social media shared on social media shows a massive tornado tearing across the land.

More than a dozen twisters ripped across the US Wednesday, including a tornado in Owasso, Oklahoma, that damaged buildings, utility poles, and trees.

Injuries and damage were reported from tornadoes and storms that swept through Arkansas Wednesday. The National Weather Service described the tornado that hit Lake City, Arkansas as “catastrophic.” According to ABC affiliate in Jonesboro, KAIT, several power poles and electric lines were downed across the town of Lake City.
