PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – Former Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Bob Veale has died at the age of 89. The team confirmed his death in a release on Tuesday. Veale played in Pittsburgh from 1962-72. He appeared in 341 games with the Pirates, posting a record of 116-91 with a 3.06 ERA and 1,652 strikeouts.
