Conor McGregor has said he was "beyond petrified" when he was being interviewed by gardaí (Irish police) about allegations he had raped a woman in a hotel room. The Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter was cross-examined on why he replied "no comment" to hundreds of questions at Dundrum Garda Station in January 2019.

The MMA fighter is being sued in a civil case over an accusation of the sexual assaulting of a woman in a Dublin hotel room in December 2018 - an accusation he denies.

Mr McGregor told the court on Thursday that he had not ‘colluded’ with James Lawrence following claims made by Nikita Hand.
