2.8 magnitude earthquake sends shake through the Richmond area
RICHMOND, Va. — Multiple neighbors in the Richmond area are reporting they felt a shake on Tuesday evening. As it turns out, it was a 2.8 magnitude earthquake centered in the Wyndham area of Henrico County. The earthquake happened around 5:30 p.m. Initial reports indicate it had a depth of seven miles.
The USGS said the earthquake's epicenter was about 1 kilometer from the town of Wyndham, near Short Pump and Glen Allen.
No damage or injuries were reported from the small quake in central Virginia, but many people reported it to the U.S.
