Nintendo has revealed the Switch 2 in a video posted to its YouTube channel. The console is set for release in 2025, and is bigger than the original with a new Joy-Con design. A Nintendo Direct event on April 2 will share more information about the Switch 2.
Nintendo just revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 on its official YouTube channel and a new landing page. Originally titled “An update from Nintendo,” the video shows a full render of the new hardware’s changes. A full Nintendo Direct for the Switch 2 is scheduled for April 2, followed by in-person events worldwide.
Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. Details will be shared on the Nintendo website at a later date.
