Trace Cyrus, brother of Miley Cyrus and son of Bill Ray Cyrus, wrote on social media Saturday that his father threatened legal action against him following a plea for Billy Ray to get help.

Controversy erupted over the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer’s performance at the inauguration of US president Donald Trump, which many viewers branded an “epic disaster”. During the show, Billy Ray appeared to suffer from technical issues and at one point asked the sound crew if they just wanted him to “get the hell off the stage”.

"You should be ashamed of yourself," Trace wrote publicly on Saturday, two days after saying he's "genuinely worried" about the country star's well-being.

The Cyrus family are apparently in a bit of a rift after Trace Cyrus said he is 'genuinely worried' about his dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, who is also the father to Grammy-Award winning artist Miley Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus, and Christopher Cyrus.

Billy Ray has now posted a short video to YouTube from his 2008 track “Somebody Say a Prayer”, along with a caption that seemed to address his family strife. “Sunday callin,” he wrote. “Giving thanks for the California rain. Praying for the brokenhearted and their pain. Praying for my family. For my children… sons and daughters… and their mother.
