BOSTON — Jaylen Brown is officially available and in as the Celtics face the Suns at 7:30 p.m. Friday at TD Garden. Brown was the lone player listed on the C’s injury report as he deals with right knee posterior impingement from the past few weeks.
Brown had 31 points in a breezy 123-103 victory over the Suns during which the Celtics set an NBA season record for 3-point attempts.
Devin Booker, who notched 37 points (15-29 FG, 2-6 3 PT) with six assists and five rebounds in 38 minutes, was the only major threat for the Suns (35-42). Kevin Durant (ankle) was out, and Bradley Beal scored just one point.
As long as the Celtics have Brown and Jayson Tatum out there on the court at the same time, they feel that they can beat any team they face in the postseason. So far this season, Brown is averaging 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
