Dallas police confirmed officials are investigating an officer-involved shooting in the area on I-35 in Red Oak.

Dallas police have released footage from a shooting incident on Tuesday, Jan. 7 that left a suspect critically injured, officials said in a news release on Friday. Officers received six calls around 3:15 p.m. Monday about the suspect — later identified as 52-year-old Michael Alonzo — pointing a gun at passing vehicles on Joaquin Drive, police said.

DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating a shooting involving an officer Tuesday afternoon near White Rock Lake. Officers and an ambulance were called to assist in the 11000 block of Joaquin Drive, not far from Casa View Elementary School, around 3:20 p.m.

Ellis County Sheriff, Red Oak police, Dallas police and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene on Thursday.
