This week is North Carolina's annual Severe Weather Preparedness Week! As temperatures begin to warm, now is the time to prepare for the severe weather season. Severe Weather Awareness Week is March 2 through 8th, but the first topic covered is today. Flooding is the first topic, then lightning, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, and then watches and warnings.
