A winter storm is set to bring at least several inches of snow to the New York City area with some parts of northern New Jersey and Connecticut set up for more than six inches of snow. The snow is expected to start in New York City on Sunday morning.

3-9 p.m. Sunday: The brunt. The quality of the snow starts to change. Previously "warmer" wet flakes will begin to cool and stack up, especially in the coldest areas north and west. Moderate, steady snow. A few stronger bands possible north and west.

If the storm shifts yet again, there is the chance that the city could see up to 9 inches of snow or nothing more than an inch.
