The Powerpuff adaptation, first announced in 2020, aimed to reimagine the beloved Cartoon Network series as a darker, more mature take on Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup. However, after a failed pilot and multiple setbacks, The CW ultimately abandoned the project in 2023.
