TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Ongoing security concerns have caused lockdowns at several state prisons in Arizona.

The deaths mark the fourth and fifth suspicious inmate deaths in April 2025. The deaths also come after a triple homicide in a Tucson prison.

Now, ABC15 has learned two more inmates died this week and their deaths are being investigated as potential homicides.

Ricky Wassenaar had a lengthy criminal history that grew during his time in prison. He is currently serving 16 life sentences in Arizona.
