Rise of the Ronin takes place in 1863 Japan where, after three centuries of the Tokugawa Shogunate’s reign, the Black Ships of the West descend upon the nation’s borders and the country falls into a state of turmoil.

Team Ninja has announced that Rise of the Ronin is coming to PC very soon, but it's not the only open-world samurai game set for release.

Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team NINJA will release open-world action RPG Rise of the Ronin for PC via Steam on March 11 for $49.99, the companies announced.

Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have revealed that a Rise of the Ronin PC release is on the cards, and it's set for March.

Rise of the Ronin is a combat focused open-world action RPG game in which you play as a Ronin during the Bakumatsu period in 1863 Japan. The Team Ninja-developed, Sony-published game launched first on PS5 in March 2024. It comes out on PC via Steam a year later, on March 10, courtesy of publisher Koei Tecmo and priced $49.99.

Last year's Bakumatsu-era samurai epic Rise of the Ronin is soon arriving on PC, as confirmed by the game's publisher, Koei Tecmo.
