Wakefield Council has been urged to mount a campaign to call for better facilities at the city’s Kirkgate railway station.

Trains were at a stand still on Northern, London North Eastern Railway and CrossCountry at Wakefield Westgate due to a trespass incident.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 21 of Wakefield’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
