A Chesterfield County woman was arrested and charged Friday, in connection with an ongoing investigation into the Henrico Doctors’ Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), according to Henrico Police.

The charges comes after the hospital said three babies were discovered with "unexplainable fractures" in late November and December of 2024. A similar incident took place the previous year.

Now, a woman who worked at the hospital is accused of abusing babies that were being cared for in the NICU. Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman, 26 is charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse in connection to a November incident at the Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond,
