Authorities are looking into the possibility that a child who died in Oroville recently was exposed to fentanyl.

A toddler who died may have been exposed to fentanyl, the Oroville Police Department said Tuesday. Dispatchers at 7:40 p.m. Sunday got a "frantic" 911 call from a person reporting an unresponsive child, the police department said. Officers had limited information to work with because of how distressed the caller was.
