The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is warning residents to be aware of a phishing scam involving fake toll notices.

TxDOT is warning drivers of a texting scam targeting TxTag customers. There have been multiple reports of TxTag customers getting a text message claiming that they have an unpaid toll bill. TxDOT asks TxTag customers to keep an eye out for these ongoing scams and contact TxTag Customer Service if they receive one of these messages.
