The ASUS has better ergonomics, better reflection handling, and a Black Frame Insertion feature. However, the LG has a faster response time, wider viewing angles, and gets brighter in HDR.

Jun 3, 2020 · However, the XG27UQ’s sRGB mode has lower gamma (brighter shadows), so while the colors are accurate, the gamma is not. It feels 1.8-ish. Unless you were in a bright room, it would be inappropriate for work that needs to have accurate shadows.

Jan 10, 2021 · I have a different monitor (ASUS ROG XG27AQ), but I was having the same problems and found a solution, so I figured I'd post for anyone who finds this at some point. In the OSD there is an option for "Adaptive Sync (G-Sync Compatible)." I turned that off, and haven't had the problem at all.

Mar 27, 2020 · ASUS Rog Strix XG27UQ, can’t seem to enable GSync As the title suggests, there is no option for GSync in the Nvidia Control Panel. I’ve enabled it on the monitor, updated the DisplayPort firmware on my old 980 Ti (this update has been around a while, I wasn’t aware of it until now), done a clean install of the Nvidia drivers, but to no avail.

Oct 3, 2022 · Picked up an Asus ROG Strix XG27UQ yesterday to compliment my new 3080. Really struggling to understand how HDR works under Windows 10. Currently playing Destiny 2.. Yesterday seemed to work fine, no issues alt tabbing back and forth from game to system, when I was in game, the HDR would turn on automatically, when I'd tab out it would disable.

Jan 24, 2022 · The XG27UQ was advertised as being able to run 4k @ 144hz. However, checking my desktop resolution on windows and nvidia control panel, I am only able to run 60hz while on 3840x2160. The closest I can get to 144hz is lowering my resolution down to 2560x1440 and even then, I can only increase it to 120hz.
