Chartwell empowers students with dyslexia and associated learning differences to unlock their full potential. We provide a college preparatory, strength-based program that gives students the skills, strategies, tools and mindset needed to become successful lifelong learners.

Chartwell offers need-based financial aid awards in the form of grants that do not need to be repaid. Our budget is limited and we seek to equitably distribute grants to students based on their family’s financial need.

The Chartwell Way is a teaching approach grounded in research and based on diagnostic prescriptive methodology. Our teaching is informed by student learning.

Chartwell views the admissions process as a collaborative venture in which we work closely with parents to determine the educational choice that is best for their child. While prospective families learn about Chartwell, we learn about prospective students and their individual needs and goals.

Chartwell School’s Summer CORE Program is academically focused and open to students transitioning into Grades 1-8 who would benefit from specialized instruction or would like to maintain progress achieved over the preceding academic year. Situated on 60 acres adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in Seaside, California, Chartwell’s campus provides students and faculty with a beautiful and expansive natural environment. Our campus is home to wild deer and turkeys, features a two-mile nature trail, and is covered in coastal oak woodlands and marine chaparral.
