Jan 24, 2023 · You just can't beat the image quality of the Vive Pro 2. It's a huge difference in games with high quality assets. Caveat that you should at least be rocking a 3080 in order to run Vive Pro 2 at it's native resolution (+ barrel distortion compensation so about 3100x3100). The Index is still a fine headset though and you would not regret it.

Vertical lines showed up in my Vive Pro 2. At first they were only visible at the edge of the left screen, thin lines of red blue and green. Now they cover the whole left lens. Each like is a pixel thick. I did clean all the connectors with CRC electronics cleaner, but it did not help. I bought a new cable (2.0), it didn't help either. FIX:

Jul 19, 2022 · There is NO lens replacement. for the Vive Pro 2. Just by luck, the lenses for the Gear fit on both the Vive and original Vive Pro, but that was just happenstance and doesn't apply for the Vive Pro 2. Changing lenses will result in a broken Vive Pro 2! Unfortunately, there really is no way to improve the lens at the moment.

Oct 5, 2022 · I was suspecting the vive console updates screwed with it so I reinstalled that and changed every option there was. The only thing that made a difference was lowering the resolution down all the way, which seemed to fix it but simple restarting the PC also fixed it temporarily too, so it's hard to pin point the problem.

Jul 28, 2021 · I have both the Quest 2 and the Vive Pro 2. The Vive has better image quality and is more comfortable with a wider FoV. The screen door effect that I can see on the Q2 is non-existent on the VP2. However, the difference is not really worth 1000€. I already had the base stations and I returned my Reverb G2, so I only paid 100€ extra.
