Dec 17, 2023 · Bought the Gen 2 AirPods Pro with USB-C, and wondered if I could get another Gen 2 USB-C case to get the old Gen 1 AirPods working. The Gen 1 AirPods certainly fit and charge in the Gen 2 case, but the case makes a distinctly unhappy ‘beep boop’ sound when they’re inserted, or when the case is opened with them inside.

Dec 1, 2022 · I just recently got new AirPods Pro 2 with MagSafe Charge Case (USB-C). My MagSafe Charging Case definitely has a USB-C port yet the model number imprinted in the case is A2968 and the Apple Support site identifies model A2968 as the MagSafe Charging Case (Lightning) introduced in 2022. But there is no mistaking a Lightning port for a USB-C port.

Aug 29, 2020 · I have used my first gen AirPods for running a number of times, and they work fine. The sweat is no issue. But my AirPods Pro, which I got several years after the original AirPods, are way better. The sound is way better, and they stay in my ears better also (though the AirPods are Ok with that too).
AirPods Pro 2nd gen worthy upgrade from 1st gen?
Oct 17, 2011 · Most review state otherwise, but in my experience the AirPods Pros have better ANC, and the gen 2 Pros are even better. The low end is fuller; still a little roll-off once you get into the 50Hz range (I have a bass test playlist full of songs with powerful sub-bass beats or accents, in that range) but still, markedly improved over the gen 1s.
Will the new AirPods Pro 2 case work with first-gen AirPods Pro?
Jun 26, 2012 · Mechanically, I agree - but given that the case and AirPods interact on a software level (charging, etc), the real question is whether the 2nd gen case firmware is compatible with the 1st gen AirPod Pro firmware.

Nov 12, 2011 · I got my hands on the original AirPods Pro and the 3 Gen AirPods and they definitely don’t show high-res lossless when playing music. Looks like the advertised 5Ghz connectivity that was touted to be exclusive to Vision Pro also works with iPhones.
