🏀On March 18, 1991 the Philadelphia 76ers retired Wilt Chamberlain’s number 13, only the fifth jersey ever retired by the 76ers at the time, along with those of Billy Cunningham, Hal Greer, Bobby Jones and Julius Erving. Chamberlain ultimately had his jersey retired by the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, becoming the first NBA player to have his number retired by three teams. 🏀On May 14, 1991 the Chicago Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 100-95 in the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals for a 4-1 series win. Chicago’s Michael Jordan finished with 38 points, a playoff career high 19 rebounds and 7 assists. Scottie Pippen (the only other Bulls player in double figures) added 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
