NYC gained more than 640 new protectors today. The newest Finest graduated the police academy in a ceremony surrounded by loved ones, members of NYPD leadership, elected officials, and the community at Madison Square Garden this morning. This Thursday, we welcomed 457 new protectors of NYC. As they gear up to hit the streets, they wanted to tell you a little bit more about who they are. They speak 47 different languages and were born in 29 different countries. 46 of them have served in our military.
