Here is my most used canopy anchor method for working SRT. I tend to keep it fairly simple, although this depends on the tree and job of the day. It is just a straightforward running bowline at the top capturing an anchor ring, to avoid any rope on rope contact at my main anchor. Then I tie both tails of my rope together to create a continuous loop, this allows me to always be able to retrieve my canopy anchor from wherever in the tree or from the ground.
