Been throwing curveballs for the last 35ish years. It’s a fun pitch to throw. For me in my career I got to the point where I was comfortable throwing it in any count to any location to righties and lefties. For a strike, for a put away pitch in the dirt, outside to lefties and inside to righties. If I wanted to drop it in for a first pitch strike, I wasn’t necessarily aggressive with it but in an 0-2 or 1-2 count I would throw it harder to make it look more like I was throwing a fastball with th
